Wisdom teeth

Their name was created by the time, because these teeth prune between 17-26 years of age, when one should be adult or "wise."

Pred niekoľkými desiatkami až stovkami rokov bol „normály“ počet zubov 32, to je vrátane osmičiek. Postupom času, vývojom, Few decades or hundreds years was the ordinary number of the teeth 32. Over time, by evolution, there is still less burden of jaws and so they are naturally reduced. However, the number of teeth remains constant so they don´t have enough space in the jaws. Because the wisdom teeth prune last from the all teeth, this is reflected in their pruning the most notable. Some lucky ones have phylogenetic (evolutionary) the wisdom teeth not even based.

Someone has enough space in the jaw for wisdom teeth, they cut in a straight position and if the relationship is ideally chewing jaw relationship, we talk about so-called eugnat jaw relationship. Unfortunately that is nowadays a rare exception.

Sometimes can completely uncut wisdom teeth cause a pressure on other teeth and related problems such as imitation of earache, headache and so on. If these difficulties are significant and come more often, it´s recommended to remove the teeth. However, many times a dental surgeon faces a question, if their extraction is necessary for example in the case, when uncut teeth don´t make any problems because after extract complications are not insignificant.

It often comes about uncovering mandibular nerve, followed by numbness what by the healing pass away. Many times there is a significant weakening of the bone in the jaw angle it becomes more tend to a possible fracture.

If the teeth are pruned falsely carious, with frequent inflammation, or the patient has poor hygiene usually they are routinely extracted. If surgery is highly invasive, or inflammation are around there, ATB and other supportive medical treatment is given to speed up healing and eliminate possible problems.

Most often wisdom teeth are cut only partially, askew - what irritates the surrounding tissue, or they are cut not at all and remain completely submerged in the bone, or covered with a thick layer of mucous membrane. Complications occur most often in partially erupted teeth, which are surrounded by mucosal cams. Here bacteria tend to multiply and so-called pericoronitis is created. That represents quite severe inflammations for the delicate tissues behind dental arches. They are accompanied by the pain contractures, difficulty swallowing, swollen lymph nodes. The high temperature and faitness are often associated as well

If erupting teeth are straight and have a chance to participate in the dental arches, we help them by "decapsulation" cutting out the excess mucous and making the access mucous follicles and improving hygiene. If erupting teeth are not straight and fully functional, it is recommended to extract them. The patient gets rid of the potential threat and also obtain space for the proper hygiene of the rear molars.
